Hand-carved pear wood sculpture — Seed Form is a one-of-a-kind abstract wood sculpture made from solid pear wood. A compact, biomorphic form that feels contained, balanced, and quietly alive.

I carved this piece intuitively, without sketches or predefined plans. I work in direct contact with the material, allowing the grain, resistance, and internal rhythm of the wood to guide each movement. The form emerges gradually — not designed, but discovered.

I don’t carve wood. I carve what I feel — and the wood responds.

The silhouette suggests something seated, grounded, almost protective in its posture. It does not imitate nature, but it echoes it — like a form that holds potential within itself rather than expressing it outwardly.

The structure is closed and self-contained. Nothing extends beyond what is necessary. The tension is internal — between the two volumes and the narrow space between them. Light moves through this division, revealing depth, softness, and subtle asymmetry.

Pear wood has a refined, silky grain and a warm, calm tone. I finished the surface with matte natural Osmo wax to preserve its honesty — no varnish, no artificial gloss. The surface remains tactile, quiet, and true to the material.

Carved from a single solid block — no joints, no added elements—one continuous form.
