Velora — hand-carved abstract wood sculpture in walnut, shaped through an intuitive process where form emerges gradually from the material.

It holds the movement — without continuing it.
A moment suspended between flow and stillness.

“Velora” is a one-of-a-kind hand-carved walnut sculpture — a form where soft, flowing curves meet quiet tension, and presence remains light rather than heavy.

From the very beginning, I did not work from sketches or plans. Instead, I followed the rhythm of the grain and my own gestures, allowing the wood to guide the form as it slowly emerged.

I don’t carve wood. I carve what I feel — and the wood responds.

The sculpture reveals itself in layers.
Hollowed curves move into convex folds, creating a continuous dialogue between inside and outside. As a result, the eye does not settle in one place — it moves, returns, and gradually discovers new relationships within the form.

Its silhouette feels both grounded and open.
At the same time, there is strength in its structure, yet nothing feels rigid. The form carries tension, but it never holds onto it.

In direct light, the sculpture extends beyond its physical shape.
Because of this, the shadows become part of it — shifting across the wall and surface, creating a second, changing composition that lives with the object.

The walnut carries deep, warm tones, while subtle dark veining flows through the grain like quiet lines of growth, emphasizing every curve and transition.
The matte Osmo wax preserves this natural depth, keeping the surface soft, calm, and true to the material.

This is not a static object.
Instead, it exists in relation to light, to space, and to the moment in which it is seen.

Presence in space

At 35 cm tall, “Velora” introduces a refined vertical accent without dominating the space.

Mounted on a black wooden base with a brass rod, it naturally finds its place on a console, sideboard, or shelf — especially where light can reach it from the side and allow the shadows to move freely.

It pairs effortlessly with natural materials — ceramics, linen, glass, dried botanicals — and works beautifully in minimalist, Japandi, and contemporary interiors.
