Aureon
Aureon is a one-of-a-kind hand-carved walnut wood sculpture shaped by light, movement, and the quiet presence that emerges when form and material find balance.
Some sculptures immediately demand attention.
Aureon does the opposite.
It reveals itself gradually.
As light moves across the surface, the form shifts between openness and protection, between movement and stillness. Certain curves seem to gather light for a moment before releasing it back into the surrounding space.
Some viewers may see a human figure. Others may sense something more symbolic — a guardian, a companion, or simply a form that feels calm and familiar.
I did not begin with any of these ideas.
They appeared later, as the sculpture slowly emerged from the wood.
Process & Material
Like all my sculptures, Aureon was created intuitively, without sketches, drawings, or predetermined plans.
Every piece begins with a single block of wood and a willingness to observe.
I respond to the grain, density, natural color variations, resistance, and unexpected possibilities that reveal themselves during the carving process. Some areas yield easily. Others resist. Hidden tensions, changing grain directions, and subtle imperfections often influence the path the sculpture takes.
Rather than forcing the material into a predetermined shape, I adjust, observe, and continue the conversation.
I don’t search for form. I search for the next movement.
Over time, the sculpture began to suggest a sense of quiet strength and stability. Not through symmetry or perfection, but through the balance that emerged between the curves, openings, and changing planes of the wood.
The walnut itself became an essential part of the final composition.
Natural transitions between lighter and darker tones create depth and movement across the surface. These variations have not been hidden or unified. They remain an honest record of the tree’s history and character.
The sculpture was carefully hand-carved, hand-sanded, and finished with a natural matte wax that protects the wood while preserving its authentic appearance and tactile quality.
Presence in Space
Aureon does not dominate a room.
Instead, it creates a quiet focal point that rewards repeated viewing.
As daylight changes throughout the day, the sculpture reveals different relationships between shadow, surface, and volume. From one angle it appears open and welcoming. From another, more protective and contemplative.
Its presence is calm rather than dramatic.
It works particularly well in interiors that value natural materials and thoughtful design — spaces where wood, stone, linen, and light play an important role in shaping atmosphere.
Whether placed on a console, shelf, pedestal, or sideboard, Aureon brings a sense of stillness that gradually becomes part of the surrounding space.

I never reproduce or duplicate my work. Every sculpture is created as a unique encounter between material, intuition, light, time, and the decisions made throughout the carving process.

The walnut comes from sustainably sourced wood. I often work with material that might otherwise be discarded, burned, or forgotten. Through sculpture, I try to preserve part of its story and give it a lasting presence.
My sculptures are not decorations.
They are quiet moments, solidified.
